Our adventure started on Friday afternoon when we started our camper, which you can see and rent on our website www.kamperi.hr . We are proud to point out that all our campers are equipped with Winter package, ready to winter in the coldest conditions! In addition to the comfort of luxury campers, we also provide a lot of additional equipment (e.g. everything for cooking - a set of pots and pans, plates, glasses, cutlery, cutlery, wiping rags; hand vacuum cleaner, ručni), board games, tire chains, snow digging tools and extra accessories such as a pancake dryer, small oil radiator, etc.
On Friday night we arrived at Campingplatz Mauterndorf-a 4-star camp located right at the ski resort Mauterndorf. The camp offers beautiful bathrooms, washing and drying facilities, sauna etc.
After exploring the camp and playing a long game of Scrabble, we decided it was time to go to sleep because tomorrow we have a long day on the ski slope. We have installed the ingenious Maprika app on mobile phones-to navigate on the track and share the position where who is! Really useful app!
After waking up in the morning and a beautiful view of the ski resort of Mauterndorf, we had breakfast in the camper and went on ski adventures. That day we were skiing at a beautiful ski resort where the trails were beautifully landscaped, and sunny weather without wind only added magic. After a beautiful but hard day at the ski resort, we returned to our camper where we heated the charm we brought with us. The smell of Sarma in the camper after a whole day of skiing is indescribable 💨 🍲
In the evening, we helped our neighbors pull out a van that got stuck in the snow (right next to us) so we were afraid that we would go out in the morning with a 3.5 ton camper, but it turned out that we were afraid for no reason because our tires saved us! If you are wondering which tires we have, the answer is: tire 235/65r16c 121/119r VanContact kom Winter 10pr CONTINENTAL. It was just an indication to us that we decided Well that we should not spare on the things that are important for our safety (and the safety of our clients) and that we are happy that we did not decide on all-year tires. We got out of the snow that had been falling all night.
On Sunday we decided to ski at another ski resort – Obertauern so we headed there in the morning after breakfast. Since the snow continued to fall and the wind added snow to the road, and the roads were not cleaned, many vehicles had problems on the road itself. We were saved again by our excellent tyres!
Since we went to Obertauern for the first time, we used the park4night app to know where we could park our camper. Unfortunately, the application incorrectly stated a parking space for campers so we corrected it and here is the link for the correct parking: https://park4night.com/en/place/477240
Obertauern is the place with the most snow in Austria, with over 100 km of ski slopes. Unfortunately, the weather did not serve us completely that day because there was a strong wind and snow fell until noon. Fortunately, the Sun showed in the afternoon, the wind stopped, and he still put a smile on our faces. What we would highly recommend at this ski resort is their ingenious closed seats that have heated seats.
After a full day of skiing, we returned to the camper, which welcomed us warmly.
Since the camper is new, this was his first Test on winter conditions and we can say that we are very pleased. While it is outside -5, It can easily maintain a comfortable temperature only on electricity, without gas. Of course, with gas, the temperature can be much lower outside. 🌡️🔥
One of the peculiarities that distinguishes Benimar from many other campers is that under the bed there is a passage / door that connects the inner part of the camper with the trunk, so on cold winter days you do not have to go outside the camper to get something from the trunk (e.g. shoes, boots), rather than simply do it through the said door.
The overall experience was incredible, and our camper passed its first wintering test with excellent results.
