Ski Adventure on four wheels on Rogla - ski paradise for children and first ski steps
Every time we go skiing and I see little kids fighting a mountain Tru trying to learn how to ski s with little colorful helmets!and mini skis! that makes me awfully cute! Napokon I finally managed to interest my children to make their first ski steps, and the choice of where to go with the children to ski with a camper skijanje was very simple – ROGLA!
Since everyone praises Rogla as the ideal location for the first ski steps.that it is two hours from our home. and that the weather forecast for the weekend is 11.-12.1.2025. it was ideal temperature (temperatures in minus, sun on the track and a lot of natural snow), we did not double for a second! 🙌
A Bonus in everything is that Rogla at the very top has parking for campers mogućnosti with the possibility of electricity connection. Cannon! 👍
On Friday, we had great preparations for this trip: we were preparing a camper 🚐, there was cooking a sarma 🥒, Bolognese.when we go with the children of the camper, I try to prepare the food in a way that I only heat it in the camper, that it is quickly finished and that it is something that the children like to eat (and yet that it is somewhat healthy). 🧅👶🧀
Since my girls have never stepped on skis before, I've booked a ski school – a group course. Iako although we contacted the day before the start of the school, there were no problems – they responded to the mail very quickly.and we successfully arranged everything. (Later I realized why it is not a problem to apply to school the day before we come – Rogla lives off it – if you want Group learning, individually, like this, like that – anything can happen, there are a bunch of instructors! 👨🎓👩🎓)
The excitement of the children and us at the peak oko and about 6: 00 p.m. we head for Rogla! Dok while we were climbing the last 20 minutes of the ride, I must admit that I was a little worried because it was not clear where the snow was-everything around us was Brown!but when we climbed completely, we were greeted by a real winter idyll! Nakon after we found a parking lot for the campers!and settled in, the kids pulled up their skirts and rushed out into the snow! They haven't seen that much snow in a long time. Snowboarding, making snowmen, and running on the snow made it their business to go to bed at night without dinner. 🛌
Saturday morning started with an early morning dog walk in the snow 🐕 ❄ and the scenes in which the sun breaks and shines on the very top of the mountain can hardly be described in words.I immediately investigated where the ski school is, where the equipment is rented, so that when we start with the children, everything will be known. 🗺⛷
Not only were we delighted with the beautiful snow idyll, but also our dogs who ran on the snow like crazy! 🐾 ❄ There are really a lot of promenades at the top 🌲 🌳 so, if you have dogs or do not want to ski, nature is beautiful and it would be a shame not to use that part of the Rogle. We don't need to talk about cleanliness and fresh air. 🌬 I feel like our lungs have finally breathed and cleared of the bad Zagreb air.
After the walk it was time to wake up the rest of the team and breakfast jaja– egg omelet, Greek yogurt and salad of spinach, tomatoes and cucumbers.after breakfast we headed to the ski school to check in. We received certificates and all instructions – who will be the leader, where is the gathering and which ski pass we should take for the children. Nakon after that we rented skis, jeans and helmets for the girls. ⛷
For those interested in the financial side:
- Ski school: group start course for Saturday and Sunday for two children 3 hours a day: 170 EUR
- Rent skis, pancakes and helmets for two children on Saturday and Sunday: 84 EUR (21 EUR per child per day)
- Ski pass for children: for the first day we were told to take 10 points (10 EUR), while on the second day we took 20 points (20 EUR)
The second weekend we took a two-day ski pass for children: 57 EUR / child
- Ski pass for adults for two days: 88 EUR / person

We must admit that Rogla delighted us! ROG although the Austrian ski resorts have spoiled us with their long kilometer trails, Rogla is something completely different – a small family ski resort with about 12 km of groomed trails:
- of gentle blue paths IDE ideal for children and beginners 👧 🧒 ,
- the red lines were great for me to practice some of the elements.,
- all the way to the black trails sjajne which were great for our fun!
What we can praise is the beautifully landscaped trails that have endured all day. Naravno of course, the track on which there was the most ski school was useless after a while, but it is only used by beginners.
I have to mention that we had tremendous luck with the weather – the sun sunce, the temperatures in the minus!, a lot of natural snow! all this contributed to our ecstasy! 🥰
And after three hours of ski school, the girls were thrilled! The first ski steps were made – I don't know if I was happier or not! Nakon after a short break, they wanted to show us what they had learned, so we spent the whole afternoon on the track. I was very proud of my first ski trip. 🎿👩👧👧
After clearing all the points they had on the ski pass 🎫 we finished skiing and headed for the camper. As the heat rose, the youngest member fell asleep. Snijeg the snow and the excitement did their part Nakon after lunch cure the girls went sledding. Sanj the sleigh is right next to the camper parking lot, which was very convenient for us. Večer we spent the evening playing, man, don't get mad.but we quickly moved to our beds and fell asleep happy and tired. 😌🌙
The next day too-Girls ' School zabava adult party! Završetka after finishing school, they got diplomas and medals.and then they showed us what they had learned again. Poslije in the afternoon we got ready and headed home!but before that we had a surprise for the girls – an evening bath in čatež! It was a weekend to remember! 🥳
Since we were all very satisfied and that the weather on Rogla remained perfect sljedeći, we decided to repeat everything next weekend!
Friday afternoon we went the same route again čim and as soon as we got the camper, the girls pulled out their sleds and the night sledding could begin! Sub Saturday and Sunday from 10 to 13 o'clock were reserved for ski school ⏰ 🎿 and in the afternoon for further training with us. 👨👩👧👧💪

The price of parking for 24 hours with 10 kWh of electricity included is 30 EUR. Ukoliko if you want more electricity, you have to pay immediately when buying a daily ticket. But the electricity situation is a little confusing autom the vending machine only receives cash novčan and flat bills – if the bill is crumpled, it will not accept it. Savjet Tip: Find as flat as possible banknotes and arm yourself with patience! 🤷♀
There are also power poles 🔌 but only one display works on which you can see the state of electricity, and even then it does not show the exact state... because if you pay 30 EUR, you should get 10 kWh of electricity, but when we connected the electricity to the pole and unscrewed our parking ticket, the pole read only 5 kWh…
Long story short, the electricity thing here is pretty vague and confusing, and if you're going to heat up the electricity, forget about it. Electricity here can only be used for the maintenance of the batteries of the camper, and for heating provide a sufficient amount of gas bottles 🔥
We started heating the electricity the first night, and in the middle of the night we seemed to spend it (too quickly by our calculations). Fortunately, our campers have the option of hybrid heating mode, so when the camper runs out of electricity, the automatic heating switch to gas, so we did not freeze and did not have to manually switch the heating in the middle of the night.😊
In the parking lot there is also a sanitary facility 🚻 (we did not use it), a place to discharge gray water and clean the toilet tank. Vodu water you can buy: 100 liters for 2 EUR.
The biggest advantage of parking is the location-at the very top of Rogla, by the entrance to the ski slope, by the sleigh 🛷, the game forest.and beautiful promenades. The morning is magic. ✨
Of course, we experienced all this in such a fairytale way because the weather was favorable to us and I would say – ideal.
Our family went to Rogla with the aim of teaching children to ski 🎿 👩 👧 👧 but we got a lot more – laughter, memories, medals and diplomas.and a fairy-tale winter idyll that filled us with energy. 🥰❄
But I must note-the experience of Rogle largely depends on the weather conditions. Our weekend was perfect because the temperatures were down, the trails covered with natural snow, and the sun was shining on the mountain peaks. If the weather conditions are not ideal, then Rogla can be less attractive, but here comes the great advantage of campers! Unlike hotel or apartment reservations, you have complete freedom with a camper – if the weather forecast for Rogla is not promising, you can simply head to another ski resort that offers better conditions.
Conclusion: Rogla is not just a destination-it is an experience you will want to repeat! Fleksibilnost with the flexibility of campers, you can always get the best out of every winter weekend! 🌟😊
