Weekend camping trip: Rastoke-Plitvice Lakes
The first day of our two-day camping trip began early in the morning, as the first rays of the sun lit up the Rastoke. We settled in a charming camp near the river Slunjčica. In the immediate vicinity is a beautiful 7.4 km long trail that follows Slunjčica, and which our dogs were especially delighted with. The sound of flowing water and the smell of nature around US created a true oasis of tranquility.
In the evening we headed towards the center of Rastoke. The city was peaceful and romantic, and the bridge over the Korana River offered a beautiful view of the waterfalls and waterfalls that were illuminated by gentle lights.
Although the temperature had dropped close to zero, our Camper welcomed us with a pleasant heat of 23 degrees, so we could comfortably settle down and start preparing a fine dinner…
The next day we woke up early with the noise of Slunjčica and headed towards the Plitvice Lakes. Autumn was in full splendor, with the trees changing colors and creating a colorful landscape. On the Plitvice Lakes we did not encounter large tourist crowds, which allowed us to explore the nature trails almost in complete silence. The magic of the waterfall and the lake at that moment was absolutely stunning.
After a whole day of exploring the Plitvice Lakes, we returned to our camper with a feeling of deep satisfaction and natural serenity. A two-day camping trip to Rastoke and Plitvice Lakes will leave indelible memories of the beautiful natural beauty of Croatia and the moments we spent together.
