Winter holidays in the camper
Winter holidays are underway, and we decided to spend them in an unforgettable way – visiting the beauty of the Krka National Park in our loyal camper! 🚐❄️
Autumn and winter bring a special charm when it comes to camping trips because they offer true freedom of exploration without the crowds that often accompany the warmer months. 🍁❄️
One of the great advantages of autumn and winter is the freedom to park with a camper. Whether you want to camp in the middle of the mountains, by the lake or simply somewhere in the wilderness, the possibilities are almost endless. There is no need to book in advance, and spontaneous decisions and exploring the unknown become an integral part of the trip.
So let us know that together we plan your camping trip from our offer.
We bring you a part of the impressions of our beautiful national park through pictures and videos.
On the first day we enjoyed an unforgettable exploration of Skradinski Buk with our faithful four-legged friends! 🐾🍃
Skradinski buk in Krka National Park has always been our favorite destination, andwalking along the wooden paths through the natural paradise was extremely exciting for our furry friends. Their reactions to the scents of nature, the sound of water and the noise of birds were invaluable. Skradinski buk has become not only our destination, but also the perfect place for them to play and explore.
One of the most exciting moments was when we reached the lookout with a stunning view of the falls. We enjoyed that special moment.
Krka National park provides special trails and areas where dogs can run freely and enjoy the natural beauty. They jumped on the Rocks, ran along the riverbank and, of course, swam in a Clear Lake.
At the end of the day, when we relaxed with the sound of the river, we realized that Skradinski buk is not only a wonderful destination for us, but also a perfect space for adventures with our loyal companions. 🐶🍂❤️
Enjoy beautiful photos and videos.
How best to end the day than camping by a quiet lake, a glass of wine and grilled squid.
On the second day we set foot in another part of the enchanting nature World of Krka National Park by visiting Roški waterfall and necklaces. 🌊🍃
The arrival by road to the reception and the place from which it moves towards Roški slap was more than exciting and uncertain. Namely, it is necessary to cross a narrow bridge (one-way traffic regulated by traffic lights), and at the beginning of the bridge there is a traffic ban sign for vehicles whose width exceeds the width of 2.2 m. We were a little sweaty because you know that the width of our camper is 2.3 m, but we couldn't go back (there is no place to turn). The Expert Eye of our driver estimated that we could still pass it and with peas of sweat on our forehead, we successfully crossed the bridge! You can watch the video of crossing the bridge in our gallery (not for those with weak hearts!).
Roški waterfall, with its imposing waterfalls and surrounding landscape, welcomed us with its unspoiled beauty. Walking along the forest trails has revealed incredible views of the waterfalls and River Landscapes. The view from the top was indescribable.
We were particularly impressed by the necklaces, a natural phenomenon where the Krka River creates unique shapes and sculptures. Boulders and pebbles at the bottom of the river create a jewelry-like scene, which is why the area bears the name “necklace”. The sight of this natural wonder left us speechless.
The Roman amphitheatre at Burnum was a special highlight of our tour. Its size and well-preserved ruins have brought to life before us images of old gladiatorial fights and cultural events that took place on this Site More than a thousand years ago.
Next he went to Manojlovački slap and Burnumwhere we refreshed ourselves with the sound of the violent fall of water into the river Krka. A new road was built from Laškovica to Kistanj, which significantly shortens the road. The smell of fresh air and the sound of nature have created a perfect environment for relaxing and enjoying the natural beauty of this part of the park and of course lunch in the most beautiful surroundings. Burnum was a Roman military camp and Roman amphitheatre located in Krka National Park. Imagine a large, circular structure with high walls built of stone blocks. The amphitheatre is built on the slopes above the Krka River, which provides an impressive view of the surrounding countryside.
On the slopes of the river Krka there is also a beautiful place for overnight stay.
On the third day, we set out for something different – a fascinating journey through the cerovac caves, a hidden treasure of nature located in the Velebit Nature Park. 🌍🕳️
Cerovac caves is the largest tourist cave complex in Croatia. The lower and upper Cerovac caves, each in the length of approximately 700 m, have been opened for tourist visits. The tour of one cave takes about 1.5 hours, with you in the cave about 50 minutes. The tour of both caves lasts about 3 hours, in each cave you are about 50 minutes, the rest of the time goes on the walk from the center to the caves and back. The cave is visited with a guide (the guide is included in the ticket price).
The center of excellence of the cerovac cave with parking is located at 553 m/nm from where a light walk along the hiking trail takes about 15 minutes to reach the lower cave located at 624 m/nm. For an additional 10 minutes walk, the footpath leads to the upper cave located at 671 m/nm.
The average temperature in the caves is about 7 ° C. That is why it is necessary to have warmer, layered clothes – all year round, and sports shoes to visit the caves.
As the sun went down, we ended our new adventure. This unforgettable camping trip experience kamperi.hr it will leave a mark on our memories.
Through winding roads and unspoiled landscapes our camper has become a mobile home providing us with comfort and freedom to explore. Krka National park, with its waterfalls, forests and historical sites, delighted us with its diversity and beauty.
We went through the picturesque trails along the Skradinski buk waterfall, felt the power of the water and enjoyed the view of the crystal clear lakes. Roški slap and necklaces delighted us with their wildness, while Cerovac caves provided a mystical journey to the underworld.
The perfect end of the day was the sunset at Burnum, where we enjoyed the peace and quiet of the ancient ruins. These trips would not have been the same without the camper who gave us the comfort and flexibility of exploring every corner of the park.
A camping trip through the Krka National park revealed to us the incredible beauty of nature, history and freedom offered by this way of travel.
